1.1: Module 1.1 Installing MAMP

First you will need to download and install a free program called Mamp:

• Go to the following address and press the download button:

• https://www.mamp.info/en/downloads/

When the file downloads it will be saved in the download folder or predesignated location of all your download files.

Locate the package icon for the installer.

Double click the package icon to start the installer.

The installer will walk you through the steps for the basic install. Click Continue through all steps and then Accept the license to complete the install

Type in your computer's administrative password if necessary

Installation Complete

Next you will need to access the application in your Mac Finder or Windows explorer.

Once you open the application you will get the following window to set up your MAMP Portal

Then click the Start Servers button to be able to work on the web portal.

Once you start the server it will automatically open the MAMP webpage.

You can now access the tools menu of the MAMP webpage. Click on phpMyAdmin and it will open the PHPMyAdmin maintenance panel where you can begin the installation of your WordPress site.
